  • Wrote a Command-level COBOL course delivered to existing staff to test various interfaces.

  • Wrote the Command-level COBOL low-levels to maximize reuse.

  • Completed the initial physical database design towards CA-Datacom/DB using a variant of the Army's logical design as input.

  • Worked with outside database consultants to tune and enhance the physical database.

  • Worked with approximately seven other senior designers to invent an architecture that would span the project. (As it turned out, neither Yourdon-DeMarco nor Booch would support the requirements. However, aspects of both, properly combined, worked very well.)

  • Assigned programs to programmers.

  • Facilitated programmer training.

  • Worked with the Analyst and Database Teams to refine specifications.

  • Worked with the Test Team to facilitate testing and speed turn-around time.

  • Established a system of code reviews to find problems earlier in the life cycle.

  • Coordinated code movement and recompilation across platforms.

  • Wrote technical papers and presented various aspects of the project at technical conventions and workshops during the life of the project.

  • Developed and delivered a course on Entity-Relationship Modeling to the technical staff.

  • Led the team that completed the delivery of the dynamic CASE/Repository tool in support of the existing financial project.

  • Designed the document generation extension of the above described CASE/Repository Tool.
